Antique music boxes are representatives of a golden age in mechanical engineering.  This music box has a brass cylinder with tiny pics that pluck a tuned metal comb.  There is a lever that is crank builds up speed so that the music rolls play at the correct velocity   It is a lovely piece, with fine inlay on the case.
