These antique oyster forks, in their own fitted case, were made by "Maître Orfèvre" (master silversmith) Charles Alfred Coignet( active 1865-1889, Paris, France).

 

These forks were designed so that those dining could eat shellfish, particularly raw oysters. right from the shell.
