A parfumerie urn, also known as a perfume urn or a perfume bottle urn, was designed to hold a small amount of cremated ashes, perfume, or other cherished mementos. Amethyst quartz, a purple variety of quartz mineral, results from iron impurities and irradiation within the quartz structure.  Amethyst color was associated with royalty and spirituality.
