Amboyna is a wood native to Indonesia, valued for its beauty.  It is a deep reddish-brown color and has an intricuate grain pattern.  It is hard and durable, a  good choice for use in furniture.

 

Credenzas were originally used as sideboards for the preparation and serving of good, but they evolved into pieces for the storage of china, glassware, and other dining supplies.  They can be simple in design or finely decorated and shaped.
